Focusing his practice of Municipal Law, Labour and Employment, Local Government issues and policing, Paul has experience with matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Paul regularly appears before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, and the Ontario Police Arbitration Commission.
Paul has acted on a number of Coroners Inquests and was Lead Counsel for Elliot Lake and the Elliot Lake Fire Department during the Elliot Lake Mall Inquiry.
He brings a unique perspective and court experience to Wishart, with his background in sociology, his advocacy skills, his logic, and lateral thinking.
Paul is the director and founding member of the Wishart Municipal Law Group serving a significant portion of municipalities in the Province.
Paul regularly speaks on HR and Local Government issues throughout the province with a particular focus on Northern Ontario.
A former volunteer fire fighter in the Algoma District, Paul is a Trainer Facilitator, certified by the office of the Ontario Fire Marshall.
Paul has served two terms as a Director of the Algoma District Law Association and is a member of Canadian Bar Association and the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.
